Such emotions result from a tricky play of primary emotions. Such feelings are learned through socialization. You can cover it through therapy. Guilt is a secondary emotion arising from a mindful analysis that begins it. The primary emotion is anger if someone undergoes it after being cut off in traffic. They engage their brain in believing why the other driver cut them off. In such cases, it may shift to pity and even shame for their first reaction.
